How Do I …
Submit a Project for the Innovation Lab?
One of the ways the Innovation Lab works with state agencies and partners is by vetting and matching projects with potential technology partners who can bring these ideas to fruition. If you have an idea you’d like to workshop in the Lab, following these steps will help us move forward faster.
-
Gather Your Information
When submitting your proposed project, you will need the following:
- Problem statement
- Proposed solution
- Anticipated impact
- Preliminary resource requirements
-
Submit Your Project
Once you’ve gathered all of the necessary information, use the online webform to submit your project proposal.
-
Collaborate with GTA on Proposal
The AI team will review your proposal and reach out for clarification or questions. The team may work with you to tweak proposals to ensure they:
- Align with the state’s strategic priorities
- Impact service delivery or operational efficiency
- Are technically possible
- Include resource and cost estimates
- Comply with regulations and guidelines
-
Get Matched with a Partner
Your completed proposal will be forwarded to our partners and vendor pool.
- One or more partners may be interested in working with you.
- We’ll schedule time in the Lab for you to see intros and demos from potential partners as needed.
- We'll work with you and your partner(s) to outline roles, responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines for the Proof of Concept (POC) phase.
-
Develop a Proof of Concept
- You and your partner will develop a working prototype or proof of concept that aligns with your objectives and can adjust based on stakeholder feedback.
- Document lessons learned so that your work can benefit other agencies facing similar challenges.
-
Present to Stakeholders
Be sure to include:
- Demonstration of functionality
- Implementation requirements
- Cost-benefit analysis
- Scalability considerations
- Potential return on investment
-
