Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Office of Governor Brian Kemp
Mark began his professional journey on U.S. Senator David Perdue's staff, serving as the Metro Atlanta Regional Director. In this role, he was instrumental in developing and maintaining relationships with constituents, local businesses, government officials, and community organizations. He also served as Senator Perdue's Advisor and Liaison to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Georgia, fostering vital connections between the Senator's office and these institutions.
His commitment to the state and the Governor’s priority to help Georgia become the E-mobility capital of the country led him to the Georgia Department of Transportation. There, he served as the Senior Planning Policy Coordinator under the Director of Planning. During his tenure, he was the Project Manager for the State's National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan, where his leadership helped secure $135 million for EV infrastructure, significantly advancing Georgia's transportation future.
In 2023, Mark returned to the Office of Governor Brian Kemp as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, he oversees executive state agencies on behalf of the Governor. In addition to the management of state agencies, his portfolio includes special projects in Transportation, Workforce Housing, and Emerging Industries and Technology, where he continues to drive impactful initiatives for the state of Georgia.
